My trip to the States

I just got back to Japan last week after being in the States for about a month. I'm glad to be back, and I am so thankful for all of the answered prayers that made the trip run so smoothly! I had a safe trip from Japan to Omaha, from Omaha to Ohio, from Ohio to Tulsa, Kansas and Missouri, and from Missouri back to Ohio. I was able to sell my car, for full asking price, within about an hour of posting an add. I was able to schedule my board exams just in time to make my return flight home (by taking the only available spots in June). On the way home, I made it off of the plane, through customs, and onto the train with 3 minutes to spare which saved me about two hours of delays. AND I passed the boards, so I don't have to make a return trip and shell out the cash to take the exams again!

While I was away, our household goods arrived so we now have all our stuff. It is so nice to be able to reorganize and settle into our home. I plan on posting pictures soon, but for now I have to go... Chris and I are sponsoring a new couple moving to Japan and they just arrived yesterday morning. I get the fun task of showing them around and helping them to get settled!

  1. I'm so glad everything turned out ok. I'm so proud of you passing your boards and getting licensed. How's the job stuff lining up?

I'm looking into tickets to come visit now that my job stuff is all squared away, and I can start saving.

  3. Jess, congrats on passing your boards...as if there was any doubt! Say hello to the pilot formerly known as Chester for me (Thud now?).

Jess misses Huck, but she may have found a temporary "replacement." She met a Lab named Abner and, with the permission of all parties involved, they are currently courting. Personally, I think Jess would take Huck back in a heartbeat. We'll keep you posted.
